The good:
- accepts all different kinds of USB cables
- includes 1A (most) and 2A (newer Apple) USB ports
- on/off button
- plenty of room inside for cables of any length
- keeps everything neat with cables sticking out the bottom
- high quality sueded-feel top
- long power cable
- nice angled top
- very neat and tidy once all cables are in and together
- overall look and feel is great, well made

The bad:
- no cable management inside, kind of a mess in there
- super-bright blue power-on led on back makes it unsuitable for a nightstand or dark room (easy enough to cover it up though)
- could use a small power strip inside, more in/out cable holes to add a laptop charger too
- tricky to line things up and get the cover on without one of the cables sneaking out of their spot

Overall, this is very good, does what I was looking for. I use it to charge a few items from work and home, and generally have two micro USBs, one lightning and one 30-pin Apple. Everything charges up great even when all four are plugged in at the same time. If you like the size and look, don't hesitate to get this.

First, this is really two products bundled together, as the photo shows: an Anker 5-port charger, and a nice slotted box for holding the charger and your devices.

The charger itself is very high quality -- I bought this because I already own several Anker 4- and 5-port chargers, and they work very well, providing fast charging and lots of ports. They are as compact as it gets (thus far) in 40W chargers. I rate these chargers as a full 5 stars. But this review is about the bundle.

I selected the box as a more compact alternative to charging stations that house a small 120v power strip, into which one plugs chargers. A power strip with three or four or more small "wart" chargers plugged into it is itself quite bulky, and this makes the charging station itself large and somewhat cumbersome. Having a dedicated USB charger seemed a better solution now that just about everything charges directly from USB.

The box itself I rate a high three stars. It is a little fiddly to get it closed properly with all the cables tucked inside, as they tend to spring up and get caught in the crevices of the box. Also, I've found that the devices won't stand up vertically (with the charge plug on the bottom), so they need to be on their side (contrary to the photo shown). Also, the slots, while wide enough for most devices, aren't wide enough for many devices in a case. This is true of our Nexus 7 slim cases as well as the iPad case, so we need to take things out of the cases to charge them, and they pile up next to it. It's OK, but not ideal.
